Meet Florence
Florence Azria was born in Nice, France and raised between the cities Paris and Malaga, in the south of Spain. She developed a love for pastries at a very young age. After graduating from high school, Florence attended medical school briefly, before joining the prestigious Ecole du Louvre in Paris, where she received a Masters Degree in Fine Art. She subsequently worked at the Louvre restoring French paintings and frescoes from the XVII and XVIII centuries, before moving to Los Angeles with her children.
A mother of three and a wife, Florence loved to bake for her family and friends, and relished the sense of community, fun and fulfillment baking created. She started a cooking program at a Place Called Home in South Central Los Angeles, aimed at teaching a skill to children and teenagers living in gang-affected neighborhoods. She expanded this cooking initiative to the LA’s Best afterschool program, going from school to school in underserved areas. She has also been actively involved with gang intervention initiatives, especially women’s programs.
After her children left home, Florence had more time to focus on her other great love… baking. That deep affection ultimately lead to Florence wanting to share her passion for baking with others.
Welcome to Delightful Mrs. Azria.
