French Brownies
Ruban texture, crème de cassis et. moi bring the French touch to this American classic!
ingredients
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
6 ounces of bittersweet chocolate, chopped
6 ounces of unsalted butter
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of creme de cassis
instructions
Preheat an oven 300 degrees F.
Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with a with cooking spray and line with parchment.
In a small bowl combine the flour and salt.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a bain marie.
Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the butter until melted.
Stir in the cassis and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer beat the eggs and sugar until thick and pale, about 2 minutes.
Slowly add the chocolate mixer and beat until combined, then fold in the flour by hand.
Transfer the brownie batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Cool the brownies in the pan and then slice for serving.
